Our Story

It started with one dog, and a lot of questions.

I wanted to give her the best — but the more I learned, the more I realized how little of what’s on shelves actually qualifies.

Her AKC name is Stellar Aurea: golden, stellar, and a little bigger than she is. We call her Astra. She’s an American Cocker Spaniel, and the reason Aurella Pets exists.

From the moment she came home, I wanted to understand exactly what she was eating, chewing, and playing with. My background made me curious about what shapes behavior and wellbeing, but Astra made it personal. I started reading ingredient labels, researching protein sources, and learning the difference between what sounds healthy and what actually is.

Then Astra had her first rabbit ear. She didn’t just eat it — she carried it around, came back to it, and worked through it with a focus and joy I hadn’t seen before. That moment changed how I thought about treats. They weren’t just rewards; they were scent, texture, instinct, and enrichment.

Aurella Pets was created for dogs who are deeply loved — and for the people who care about what they bring into their homes. We curate natural treats, enrichment pieces, and everyday goods chosen for quality, function, and a little beauty in daily life.

What we believe

Ingredients first. If we wouldn’t feel confident reading every item on the label, we don’t carry it.

Enrichment over entertainment. The best treats and toys give dogs something to do — not just something to consume.

Everyday things can still be beautiful. Pet products can be practical, safe, and thoughtfully designed without feeling ordinary.

Astra is still our chief taste tester. She has very strong opinions about rabbit ears.
